Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about how The Rate Reviewers works.
Getting started
-
No. I work with the provider you already have. No new account, no new equipment, nothing to download.
-
Your last 3 months of processing statements. You can upload them on the Send Statements page or email them to review@theratereviewers.com. If we move forward, I’ll also need your merchant ID and a signed authorization letter.
-
Nothing. The review is free. You only pay if I lower your fees.
-
I usually send your savings estimate within a few business days of getting your statements. Once you approve, I contact your provider. Changes typically show up on your next one or two statements, depending on your provider.
Working with your provider
-
You sign a short letter of authorization that lets your provider discuss your account with me. It states that no changes can be made without your written approval.
-
No. You keep taking cards the same way. Only your pricing changes, and only after you approve it.
-
That’s fine. Since you’re staying with your current provider, you aren’t breaking a contract. I’ll also look at your terms so you know what to watch for.
-
No. I work for you.
-
Yes. Send me your lease and I’ll review it and look for a way out or a better option.
Pricing and results
-
A one-time fee equal to one month of your savings, based on your processor’s written offer and your last 3 statements. It’s due when you approve the offer. Every month after that, the savings are all yours.
-
Then you don’t pay anything.
-
I can’t promise a specific amount because every account is different. But you’ll see my estimate before anything changes, and you only pay if your fees go down.
-
I’ll give you a simple checklist of what to watch on your statement so you can spot increases, and you can always call me.
-
Your statements are used only for your review and deleted when the job is done.
