Terms of Service
Last updated: November 4, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to services provided by Jessica Finegan, doing business as The Rate Reviewers (“The Rate Reviewers,” “I,” “me”), a sole proprietorship based in Mesa, Arizona. By submitting statements, signing a service agreement, or paying for services, you (“you,” “the client”) agree to these Terms.
1. Services
The Rate Reviewers provides consulting services to businesses that accept credit and debit cards. I review your card processing statements, identify fees that may be lowered or removed, and, with your written authorization, contact your current card processor on your behalf to request lower pricing. I do not sell card processing, equipment, or software, and I do not move your account to a new provider.
2. Free review
The statement review is free. You are under no obligation to move forward.
3. Authorization
Before I contact your processor, you will sign a Service and Fee Agreement and a Letter of Authorization that lets me discuss and negotiate your account’s pricing on your behalf. No changes to your account are final without your written approval.
4. Fees
My fee is a one-time charge equal to one month of the savings I negotiate. Any savings I mention before speaking with your processor is an estimate. The exact savings and fee are calculated from your processor’s written offer, using your three most recent full months of statements, and shown to you for approval before you accept the new pricing. If your processor offers no reduction, you owe nothing. If you later obtain the reductions I identified or negotiated directly from your processor within 12 months, the fee still applies, as described in your Service and Fee Agreement.
5. Invoicing and payment
Payment is due when you approve your Savings Summary and accept your processor’s offer, before you sign the processor’s pricing change form. I’ll send an invoice through my payment provider (Stripe), payable by card or bank transfer. Prices are in U.S. dollars (USD).
6. Future rate changes
Card processors can change their pricing at any time. I am not responsible for increases, new fees, or other changes your processor makes after the negotiated pricing takes effect. You will receive a checklist to help you spot future increases.
7. No guarantee
Every account is different. I cannot guarantee any specific amount of savings or that your processor will agree to changes.
8. Independence
I work for you, not for any processor.
9. Confidentiality
I keep your statements and account information confidential and use them only to provide these services. One exception: if I can't lower your fees, or your business needs more than savings, I may recommend a processor I trust. I will only share your statements with that processor if you approve it in writing first. See the Privacy Policy.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, my total liability for any claim related to these services is limited to the amount you paid me for those services.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Maricopa County, Arizona.
